Guys, I have bad news.
I AM SICK.
Stuffy nose, sore throat and fever. In fact, I am sweating right now while I am typing this post, CAUSE IT IS SO DARN HOT.

And when you will sick, you will try to rest your body and stuff, no? So I tried to do that. Didn’t really go well.
I was feeling so fever-ish that when I slept, I was actually warming up my own bed, leading to a rather uncomfortable and sleepless attempt to, well, sleep.
Oh joy.
Perseverance paid off in the end though. After struggling for god-knows-how-many-hours, I managed to get some rest. My temperature has dropped a little too, but I’m not really sure if it was due to sleep or due to the Panadol I was taking. Or both. Who knows?
Sigh. I really hope I can recover by tomorrow, I really don’t want to miss orientation.
Talking about orientation, the past 2 days had been really fun! The storyline was really cool and funny, and so were the games.
Take-away from the past 2 days
– Storyline is awesome.
– “Blow the ping pong balls” game is awesome.
– Never include Takashimaya as one of the stations for Amazing Race, if you do not wanted to be scolded or stalked by the security guards.
– Our principal always say the same few quotes. Haha.
– Must learn how to piggyback someone. I couldn’t even piggyback Soo Han, who is only 46kg. Fail linjin, fail.
– Batch dance is cool.
– Batch song is cool. And I believe it was self-composed by the OGLs too.
Tomorrow will be the third day of orientation, with war games as the main event highlight. Nice eh?
On another note, 3 more days and lessons will officially start. No…
Ciao.

It has been a week since my first vlogging attempt, so it is time for… my second vlog!
As part of my random vlogging theme, today’s theme will be on: slow graphing calculators!

For those who have been talking to me for the past few days, you should know that I am trying to move away from card magic. Instead, I am trying out something new. Something closer to mind reading.
Psychology.
Basically, I am trying to learn to read natural body signals and incorporate magic into that. And it is not easy, in fact, it is really frustruating.
Just like how I was badly owned today.
To start out my journey on psychology, I chose to tackle one specific premise: guessing which hand holds the coin. As simple as it sounds, the spectator secretly puts a coin into one of his/her hands, and I would try to tell which hand holds the coin.

I decided to try out this simple experiment with some friends yesterday in the RIJC Hall. I tried 3 times, and I succeeded in finding the location of the coin for all 3.
So, to try my luck, I tried this experiment today, hoping that I would suceed again.
But no, I was way wrong. I tried 3 times, and I failed all 3 times. :O
It was then when I realized I was doing something wrong, so I decided to try this experiment YET AGAIN, this time on only Yifan, but 5 times in a row.
I managed to get 4/5 correct. Close, but not exact.
I know this may sound like a 50/50 chance, but I am trying to find a way to perfectly predict which hand holds the coin, for like 5 times in a row or more.
And it is not going too well so far.
So if anyone wants to be my guinea pig, just tell me and I will try this experiment on you. And hopefully I will be able to do some psychological magic at the end of the day… =D
Ok, feeling really tired now (played too much Taiti, linjin Taiti, Hearts, Bridge, Idiot, …), so I shall stop for today.
Ciao.

The truths. The lies.
As much as we hate to admit it, there are times when we lie. Similarly, there are also times when others lie to you too.
Perhaps, the lie was to protect ourselves. Perhaps, we didn’t mean to lie, but we had no choice.
Nevertheless, it is still a lie.
Have you ever thought, wouldn’t it be great if you can tell who was lying, and who was telling the truth? However, think again, on second thought, is that really a good idea after all?
What if, just what if, there is a person who is able to tell who are the liars, and who are the truth tellers?
…
Ah yes, we can only dream, we can only dream…
Or can we?

What do a group of guys do in somebody else’s home when they are bored?
I wonder…
Special thanks to Johnson for the initial idea.

Today’s post will be a little different: instead of writing out a blog post, I have made a video instead! Presenting my first vlog!
Yeah it kinda sucks, but if I ever find myself having free time in the future, I want to try making a vlog again, cause it is so much fun. lol.

hi jimmy. ernie here.
not bad for a first time video, well executed, delivery was smooth (though for us who know you, it’s abit unnatural.)
you used a newsflash format, which i think is good. can reuse for next time videos.
continue to do this. it’s quite good imo, since a video is more interactive than a text message.

I am supposed to sleep by 10pm today, cause I was feeling really tired and stuff. And I have band practice tomorrow morning. Since band practice = energy-sucking-monster, sleep is essential.
And here I am, still rambling on my blog even though it is already past midnight. Good job, linjin, good job.
However, it was not as though I was playing games or something and forgot about the time. IF that WAS the reason I would be pretty pissed at myself. Not to mention my computer is based on technologies that were dated 8 year back, so forget about playing games, my computer lags even when playing videos on Youtube.

Sucks.
So, back on topic, the reason why I am still awake now was because I was talking to my dad.
Wait, I take back my words. Rather than talking, it was more like a debate sort of thing? A really off-topic kind of debate?
Cause at first we were talking about divorce rates in Singapore with my sister, then my dad somehow link it to school stuff, university admission, why I should choose dentist as my career, why are there more males are in the government, why I should try to save at least 1 million be 45 years old, ERP, car insurance, why band is not important, how his friend won the lottery, why studies is more important than CCA and enrichment modules, what to eat for breakfast tomorrow, …
???????
Yeah, basically, we talked about bullshit. Not just a bit of bullshit, but a LOT of bullshit.
And to be honest, it can be hard to communicate with my dad. My dad always wants his viewpoints to be correct, and it is really hard for me propose some of my alternative viewpoints on certain issues.
My dad, like most guys, has a *huge* ego. He hates to lose. Does anybody else find their dad egoistic?
Therefore, sometimes I find it hard to talk to my dad. I mean, he always wants to be “winner”, and I always find myself being the “loser”. I try to “argue”, but I would still let him “win”, well, cause he is my dad!
Then again, I can’t say that I didn’t enjoy that utterly-useless-debating-session I had with my dad. Sometimes my dad would receive a lot of business orders (he is a machinist, someone who makes machine parts), and he would work like 24 hours a day. That basically means I don’t get to see him or talk to him when he is busy. He is a hard worker, and since he is not educated, he earns very little a month despite working such long hours. So I can understand why he is always telling me to get to university and stuff.
And after looking at some of the footage from the 7.0 Haiti earthquake, I was just thinking, perhaps it is time that I am more appreciative of things around me. Like you know, my family, my friends, …
Ok, I’m really tired now, and if I don’t sleep now, I will be in deep trouble tomorrow.
Ciao!

A few weeks ago I was hunting around for a earphone since my old one kinda gave up on me.
Being the cheap person I am, after hunting around the internet for cheap deals, I got myself two in-ear earphones. And guess what, they finally arrived in the mail yesterday.
Wait, did you say you are cheap? And you bought two earphones? Isn’t that like contradicting with yourself?
With the two earphones with me right now, it is time for a photo-spam/review, since I am can’t think of anything to blog! Banzai!
So, first up, the Black Skull earphone!
Since this is an unbranded in-ear cheap earphone, I shall call it: the Black Skull.
Pretty good engrish for a china produc.
White wire reminds me of the iPod earphones. This earphone is 1.2m long, making it great for hooking this up with a computer.

There is a reason why I call it Black Skull… Wait, shouldn’t it be White Skull? Never mind.
White ear tips! Yay! Not to mention gold-plated 3.5mm jack! The ear tips are kind of on the small-ish side, but they are comfortable, and do provide decent sound isolation. The height of the earphone is smaller than desired, making it a little hard to place them into my ears, but this is just a minor annoyance.
Well, after burning these in for about 5 hours, I have to say, they are pretty darn decent for a earphone that costs only $2 USD!
For starters, the mids are EXCELLENT. Bright, highly detailed sound with no fuzziness at all! Also, this headphone handles the highs pretty well, although sometimes it can sound harsh.
And here is my BIGGEST gripe: the bass. It is horrigusting!
You know, horrible and disgusting? Yeah…It is so muffled that, well, it makes the base sounds really bad. Like reaaaaaaaaaaaaly bad. =(
Other than that, it is a pretty good earphone, considering how cheap this is, no?
Moving on, the Kanen KM-92 earphone!
It is a wooden earphone! Like, wood!
Black ear tips on wooden earphone = nice!
Looking pretty nice, and it has a gold plated 3.5mm jack too!Oh, I forgot to mention this earlier. Gold plated connectors are superior to the normal silver-plated ones, as gold does not tarnish, unlike silver.

I wonder what the holes on the earphones are for…
Although this comes with pink, blue and black ear tips, I can’t imagine why anyone would want to use blue or pink tips on a WOODEN earphone. This is my main purchase out of the two. I originally wanted a Sonicgear Earpump, but since I heard good reviews about Kanen, I decided to pruchase this instead.
Not to mention this is cheaper than the Sonicgear Earpump. Yes, I’m cheap, I know.
I was worried that the wooden earphones may look tacky, but they turned out to look better than I had imagined. The black tips look really nice too, and the size was just right for my ears, providing great sound insolation.
However, my ear did become a little itchy after some usage. This did not occur with the Black Skull ear tips. I wonder why.
As for the sound on this earphone, I have to say that they it is really good! FANTASTIC mids, GREAT highs, and NICE bass!
I do have some issues though. The bass can feel too rich at times, or bloated as I would call it. I hope the bloated-ness will go away after I burn-in these earphones.
Another issue I encounted was that when if I listened to the music at a really soft volume, the bass actually overpowers the mids. However, this is just a minor issue.
All in all, I am really happy with the Kanen KM-92. In fact, I may purchase more products from Kanen, since I heard many good things about their other products too.
So here comes the end of my mini review/photo-spam. If you managed to read until this far, I’m impressed. RESPECT!

Much to the dismay of many, I’m actually alive.
:shocks:Yeah, I know I abandoned this blog since god-knows-when-i-think-it-was-before-my-final-year-exams-last-year.
So you may be wondering why I
didn’t botherforgot to update.…
…
Cause I’m lazy, that’s why!
Were you seriously thinking that I had a valid reason? HA!Anyways.
School is gonna start tomorrow, and it is gonna get pretty boring and mundane. Boo.
And this is when this blog comes in handy! You see, this blog is basically my ranting area. I can vent all my anger and bullshit here, hahahaha!
So yeah, I’m alive.
If you feel like reading any of my bullcrap, feel free to visit this blog, since I’ll probably update this blog once a week.
Or twice a week. Or once every two weeks.
You get the idea. I will update, just don’t expect it to be consistent. I’m a lazy person, remember?
And while you are here, leave a tag! It makes feel warm and fuzzy inside to know someone cares. Aww.
With that said, I’m gonna snap some pictures for my next post. Spoiler alert!
Ciao.
